I immediately was transported back to an older time upon visiting White Rose Hamburgers. I went on March 27th, at 7:35 pm for dinner. White Rose Hamburgers is located at 154 Woodbridge Avenue in Highland Park, New Jersey. When I arrived, there was a lot of parking at the front of the diner, so it was convenient. At the center of the menu, the diner had its signature combos, which consisted of a sandwich, fries, and a soda. They also served eggs during breakfast, which I heard were famous. I ordered the number 3 combo, which came with a grilled chicken sandwich, fries, and a soda. The total cost for the food was $34.21. Inside, the diner was quite small, since it had to be built in a factory and moved to the present location. There were many vintage posters and decorations on the wall, with old company logos. The diner had shiny countertops and stools, making it look classic. The interior was also very clean. The server was kind enough to serve my fries and soda first since they were ready earlier instead of waiting to bring them all at once, so I only had to wait 5 minutes to begin eating. After another 2-3 minutes, my sandwich was ready. I was impressed at how fast the food was delivered, since I had entered during the dinner rush and there were a few other customers also eating there. The fries were crispy, and very warm. The sandwich was delicious, and the mayonnaise paired well with the tomatoes and lettuce. If you are on a pescetarian diet, I highly recommend ordering the number 2 combo, which comes with a fish sandwich.

We used to come here all the time when we were young and drunk they have always been open 24 hours perfect for a late night! 15 years later and sober the food is still as good as we remember service is great and fast way better than any chain fast food!!! Love it!!

White Rose seems to be a staple here in town for decent fast food. My husband frequents this place for their breakfast sandwiches. My kids love the burgers, hot dogs and cheesesteaks. I usually get the gyro which is chicken or beef. Nice white chicken breast with lettuce tomato and a white sauce, wrapped in a warmed pita. I have also tried their milkshakes. They come from a machine and remind me of McDonalds. Everyone is very nice there. Inside and outside seating. Always clean. Open 24 hours.

My wife and I were driving thru snowy holiday traffice and got of Exit 9 from the NJ Turnpike and needed a quick bite before checking into our hotel. The White Rose was a good option for lightning fast service, fresh made burgers and fries. Just what we needed after being on the road for five hours! You literally get your burger in just minutes after picking out a seat! The counter people are also very nice about explaining their menu items. The White Rose is also convenient to Rutgers University, nearby Robert Wood Johnson and St. Peter's University hospitals. We both opted for the Cali Cheeseburger, but my wfie was in the mood for a double, while I ordered the single and also wanted a Porkroll Egg and Cheese Sandwich. We also ordered fries and onion rings to share. The White Rose Burger is unique as it is grilled with chopped onions and tastes a bit like a White Castle slider, but is bigger and more like a traditional burger. Remember, if you just order a burger, it's just beef patty and bun. If you want Lettuce, Tomato and Onion, you need to order the "Cali" burger. Also, as we were ordering, I heard a local order fries "well-done". What a great idea! I'd never thought one could order fries like that! Certainly a Pro Tip! The Porkroll Egg and Cheese was satisfying and would have made a good meal by itself. I may have ordered a bit too much with the burger, sandwich AND generous order of perfectly crispy fries! I used to come here with friends after a night of drinking in NB. Now I come here with my husband during normal hours when we can't think of what to eat. Am I regressing? Probably. The food still hits, though - at noon or midnight. I really like their hot dogs but usually succumb to a double bacon cheeseburger and fries. My husband loves the chicken cheesesteak and the fried shrimp. My only gripe is I wish they would season the burger patties. I always have to shake some Montreal Seasoning on them to get the taste just right. Anyway here's pics from tonight's What's For Dinner tiff.
